How You Can Change a Life

In recent years, children and families in Southwest Florida have faced complex challenges. The global pandemic isolated kids, exacerbating anxiety and depression. The increase in bullying and violence throughout our country has left young people feeling unsafe and insecure. We have seen astronomical growth with an influx of new residents, putting a strain on our mental and behavioral health care resources. And the recent destruction we experienced from Hurricane Ian has left yet-to-be-seen impacts and traumas within our children.

We have also seen the positive and lasting impact that improving and broadening access to mental and behavioral health care in our community can have on children and teens. Since 2017, Kids’ Minds Matter has supported and transformed the lives of over 200 families by supporting our area’s children on their journey to better mental health.

No Child Should Have to Wait...Give Today

Suicide is the second leading cause of death among young people between the ages of 10 and 24 – the need for mental and behavioral health care has never been greater.

Kids’ Minds Matter addresses our region’s critical shortage of pediatric mental and behavioral healthcare services by raising awareness and support. With the generous support of our donors, we have been able to make an incredible impact in Southwest Florida by:

  • Creating and expanding mental health care services for children and adults
  • Opening and developing new behavioral health clinics
  • Recruiting talented psychologists, mental health counselors, and social workers
  • Placing mental health navigators in local schools and healthcare settings
  • Advocating for young people to our local, state, and federal legislative leaders

Your gift today can help us continue the advocacy for our children. Together, we can ensure every child has the right care, in the right place, at the right time.

Your Gift Can Impact Many

Your charitable contribution will help us continue to bridge the gaps and enhance access to mental and behavioral health care for families throughout Southwest Florida. The giving support we receive goes directly to providing psychologists, psychiatrists, child advocates, social workers, and care navigators to meet children and their families where they are so they can receive the most effective care.

Your donation today has the power to positively impact someone’s tomorrow and every day throughout the year.
