When a community comes together, powerful change happens. Thanks to the support of our community partners, Kids’ Minds Matter has started a ripple effect that is expanding access to mental health resources, reducing stigma, educating parents and caregivers, and building resilience in children and families across Southwest Florida.
These partnerships are vital in reaching families where they are – whether that’s in a school, correctional facility, community center, or healthcare setting.
Circles of Support Through Collaboration
Thanks to dozens of partnerships with organizations throughout our regions, we’ve been able to meet families in moments that matter, providing education, parenting support, and hope.
- Our Partnership in Parenting classes are offered in collaboration with Lee and Collier County Corrections, the Salvation Army Center of Hope, and others. Together, we’re empowering parents and caregivers with the tools they need to better understand and respond to their child’s emotional needs. These classes help spark meaningful conversations and help caregivers rethink parenting norms, offering practical ways to support their child’s well-being.
- Through our Mental Health Navigator program, we served more than 136 families last year. By partnering with local schools, healthcare providers like Healthcare Network, and community agencies, our Navigators help families access mental health care and receive critical support for transportation, housing, food, and other essential needs.
- Youth-centered programs like Empower Her Girls Club, Boys & Girls Club, and Teen Outreach Program (TOP) are helping children and teens build confidence, learn coping skills, and connect with others.
- Organizations like Valerie’s House, Wings of Shelter, and Our Mother’s Home provide healing and support in the wake of trauma and loss, showing families they are not alone in their journey.
- Through partnerships with places like Healthy Life Center-Estero, Keiser University, and Golisano Children’s Museum of Naples, Kids’ Minds Matter is broadening mental health education and advocacy into every corner of the community – sports clubs, college campuses, and even senior living facilities.
A Community Movement
Each partner represents a ripple in a greater ocean of care. Through collaboration, we are helping children and families access the right care and right resources in the right place at the right time.
As we continue to expand and enhance pediatric mental and behavioral healthcare, we are grateful to every organization that partners with us to maximize this ripple effect for children in our community.
