Peer-Led Youth Support Group
Our youth groups are designed to create a safe and welcoming environment where teens and adolescents can connect with their peers, guided by a professional moderator. Open to kids in grades 6 through 12, these groups foster connection through shared experiences, help break down stigmas, and empower young people to share their voices and their stories.
Participants engage in meaningful discussions and build genuine connections with others who “get it.” This peer-led group provides a space where adolescents and teens feel heard, valued, and supported.
Why Youth Support Groups Matter
Growing up can be challenging, and many teens and adolescents can feel like they are facing their struggles alone. Peer support groups offer a unique environment where they can connect, share, and grow together.
Build on a foundation of trust and encouragement, these groups help:
- Provide empathy and understanding so young people feel less isolated
- Build confidence and self-esteem
- Create opportunities for positive social connections
- Improve academic and emotional outcomes
By sharing their experiences and learning from one another, adolescents and teens discover how to overcome their challenges and empower each other.
Normal is Overrated
A free annual event created by teens, Normal is Overrated welcomes middle and high school students, families, and community partners for a day dedicated to breaking barriers in mental health. Designed as a safe and supportive space, Normal is Overrated aims to reduce stigmas and promote acceptance by encouraging open and honest conversations.
Through inspiring stories and engaging discussions, this event helps us build a more inclusive and compassionate community where no one feels alone.
